The Huron-Kinloss Ice Cream Trail™ is a FUN-FILLED photo scavenger hunt for the whole family which takes participants to ice cream stops along the trail past beaches, unique shops, golf courses, parks, trails, splash pads and a pool. Many adventures await you as you follow the Ice Cream Trail™ throughout Huron-Kinloss! Do it all in a one-day trip or spread your adventure out over the summer. Stop for lunch or a break at one of the eateries in Point Clark, Ripley and Lucknow or pack a picnic and enjoy our beautiful beaches and parks.
Jackie Bradley, Barbara Ferrie, Barb Dadd, Daryl Raymond, Frank Irvine, Russell Hilder, Margaret Hilder, Cheryl Ward, Chad Ward, Dennis Kaufman, Sherry Kaufman, Donald Hughes, Wendy Hughes, Brad Parkhouse, and Michael G. Slade.
The Ice Cream Trail™ is a contest that has players follow a map to our nine (9) ice cream stops and read clues to find Sammy Sprinkles. Sammy may be right at the ice cream stop or you may have to travel a short distance to find him (hint: our website tells you whether or not he is right at the stop).
Take a picture of you and Sammy at each location to submit with the completed entry form to:
Township of Huron-Kinloss,
P. O. Box 130, 21 Queen Street, Ripley, ON N0G 2R0 or e-mail to email@example.com.
You can also submit your pictures and entry form online.
The contest runs May 20, 2017 to September 30, 2017 and entries must be received by October 9, 2017 to qualify for the grand prize.
Note: Please submit your photos even if you do not finish the Trail!
This year's theme is "Local Food - Home Grown & Homemade". Sammy Sprinkles will be taking you to some of our bakeries and farm gate businesses where you can buy delicious fresh produce and tasty baked goods.
If you collect all nine (9) pictures you can enter to receive a free t-shirt (first 1000 participants) AND this is just for playing! Special prizes will be awarded for the funniest, most creative and largest group photos. All entries will be eligible for the grand prize of 250 Huron-Kinloss dollars to spend at local merchants.
