From humble beginnings in 1885, the award winning cheesemakers of Pine River Cheese & Butter Co-operative have built a reputation for their unique brand of high quality aged Cheddar Cheese.  Take a tour of the factory and watch the skilled cheesemakers combine traditional processes with modern technology to produce Pine River quality. The newly refurbished museum just opened its doors in mid-March 2012 and in collaboration with the Bruce County Museum, showcases tools and artefacts used in cheese production over the past 100+ years. Then visit the retail store for, of course, all varieties of Pine River cheese as well as gourmet gift basket items.
